My 2011 year in photos

I grew so much during 2011 as a photographer and got to work with wonderful people and friends. The best thing about being a photographer is you get to see people in a different light, you get to see their character, their personality and their relationships. I really love it and am continually learning!

Denver Photographer: Couples

I have been so interested with a new type of photography called Beloved. Beloved is a brand or style of photography created by Jesh de Rox. I haven't taken the training but have read all I can online about it and have been profoundly impacted by it's intent.

The intent of Beloved is to provide an experience that allows couples to reconnect and remember why they are together what they love about one another. Don't we all need a little time to remember? It is beautiful. I was lucky to try it on my parents in the summer and then my fellow photography friend mentioned she would be interested in this kind of session so I jumped to give it another try.

As the photographer of a session such as this it is AMAZING. I can not tell you how powerful it was to watch a couple interact and remember why they are powerful together. The session is about 2 hours. The environment is comfortable and relaxed. They told me about THEIR story. I was there but not really. It all candid, there's a letter that will be forever treasured. Through the lens of my camera I saw a beautiful relationship. At moments I was suppressing my own tears; its THAT powerful.

If you are interested in this type of photo shoot let me know I would love to provide this wonderful enriching experience. It is an awesome date that will not be forgotten! These sessions are $120.

Tweetie Pie Bags

I had the privileged of doing a photo-shoot with my dear friend as the model. The shoot was to promote the new line of Tweetie Pie Trolleys. They are awesome and ridiculously cute.

This was a great challenge for me as I tend to focus my efforts on lifestyle photography which allows me to be in the moment creating images that express that moment and relationship. This shoot challenged me to provide images that fitted another person's idea. I learnt a lot and feel flattered to have been apart of bringing this promotion about!

For more information on the products check out Tweetie Pie Bags.

Denver Family Photographer: C Family

Cool family! She does hair, can you tell by her awesome hair and is seriously beautiful. He brings the world of TV into peoples lives and cut off his mullet (a love of his) to join the military. Little dude was adorable and smiling as wide as possible until the sun went away and he froze. Little princess started off oh so serious but after a while I discovered her smile and its a GREAT one!

I loved meeting this family!
